Danielle Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse and a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology from Alaska Pacific University. Danielle has worked in the mental health and human services field for over 15 years and has experience working in a variety of settings. In her time in Alaska Danielle has worked at Challenge Alaska, Alaska Children’s Services, Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center, McLaughlin Youth Center, the Department of Corrections and most recently Bridges Counseling Connection.
Danielle enjoys working with adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, bereavement, complex medical conditions, adjustment and life transitions, and issues related to sexual identity and orientation.
She is holistic and eclectic in her approach and will choose from a variety of modalities and techniques to meet her client’s needs. Danielle often uses mindfulness-based interventions and practices in her work with clients. Danielle is trauma informed and trained in EMDR and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
Danielle supports individuals through life’s challenges by assisting them in accessing their personal strengths and cultivating the skills needed to navigate toward a balanced and healthy life. Danielle loves to learn and continually seeks out trainings and other opportunities for personal and professional growth. Danielle is a Registered Yoga Teacher, which supports her strong belief in the mind/body connection and its relationship to an individual’s mental health and overall wellbeing.
Danielle is originally from Sheboygan Wisconsin and has lived in Alaska for 15 years. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, the outdoors, yoga, music, food, and travel.
