                              Rhonda's Office Location is at 2550 Denali Street, Suite 1606.  She is currently accepting new clients ages 13 and older. Rhonda Pierlot is a clinician with 18 years of experience.   She has a Bachelor of Arts degree specializing in Addictions and a Master of Science degree in Community Mental Health with an emphasis in Dual Diagnosis (Mental Health issues in conjunction with Addiction).  

Rhonda has worked in a wide variety of settings with both adolescents and adults.  Prior to her work at Changing Tides, Rhonda worked at an Alternative High School, Outpatient and Inpatient drug treatment facilities, a State Hospital as well as a Community Mental Health Center, and private practice. This wide range of experience has helped her become an adept clinician doing Assessments, a variety of interventions, Crisis Counseling, and Group as well as Individual therapy.

As a counselor, Rhonda believes in offering a safe and nonjudgmental environment. This allows for a strong therapeutic relationship.  She believes a strong relationship fosters trust and hope, which are vital keys to successful therapeutic outcomes.  

Rhonda has an Eclectic approach and utilizes the client’s personal strengths to obtain their desired wants and needs.  She uses the strategies and techniques that will best serve each client.  She has extensive experience using such therapeutic techniques as Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.  Among other issues, she works with individuals experiencing Anxiety, Eating Disorders and all issues associated with addiction treatment.
